Ayse Kipri: Kilt Pin Brooches

These kilt pin brooches are made out of denim off cuts and leftover materials in the artist's studio. They're all embroidered by hand in a silk-mohair thread, some using visual elements from Kipri's paintings.

About the Artist

Ayse Kipri is a London-based artist working predominantly with painting. Her work explores bodily and spatial extensions to painted surfaces by disrupting the canvas with various hardware. Channelling health issues and insomnia, her work also explores themes of psychology, feminism, and art history. Alongside her art practice, Ayse makes home objects and knitwear.
