About the Artist
Hsi-Nong Huang (b.1996) completed a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts and an MA in Sculpture from Royal College of Art. Huang’s practice explores creating a meeting point between materials that can hold hidden personal histories, preserves memories, and forms a liminal space that allows her past once more to find its way into our present or her future.
Huang has exhibited internationally with recent solo exhibition Ships Passing, New Art Projects, London (2024) and group exhibitions including Anonymous Drawings 2024, Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, Berlin (2024) and RA Summer Exhibition 2023, Royal Academy of Arts, London (2023). Huang has her first residency in Vermont Studio Center, Vermont (2024). She also has undertaking a year as an Artist Woodwork Fellow at City & Guilds of London Art School, London (2022-23). She is the recipient of Samuel Ross Black British & POC Artist Grants, 2021.
