Maisie Ridpath : Success
The work is a small, graphic painting depicting the words 'steal me and act like i'm yours' with a caption below recognizing its place as an exhibit. It speaks on the commodification of art and how it may change in spaces - specifically referencing looted art, which is defined by art taken by means including 'theft and coercion during times of conflict, colonization, or war.'

About the Artist
Maisie is a UK based artist specialising in work around the interactions between society and capitalism. She draws from the widespread aesthetics of branding and color in order to spark conversation around what we consider to be art in commercial compared to public spaces. Her work was recently displayed in The Newland Gallery, Worthing and as a part of 'Renters', an exhibition focusing of the struggles of private renting in London.
She currently studies Fine Art at Central Saint Martins; covering a wide array of media including painting, graffiti, photography, video and graphic design - always motivated by concept over production.
