Hazel O'Sullivan : Irish Disc: Cell
Hazel O'Sullivan : Irish Disc: Cell
Inspired by the ‘Irish Disc: Unknown Function’ currently on display at the British Museum, the ‘Irish Disc: Cell’ reinterprets the Bronze Age disc for a retrofuturistic narrative and for San Mei’s theme ‘Chorus’, as an ambiguous audio prop.
Hazel is currently experimenting and remaking versions of the Irish Disc to examine British museum ownership of Irish artefacts and decolonization.
